Simulator

Your questions about the flight simulator

What is the minimum age to board the simulator?

Although the simulator does not contain any shocking scenes, it is loud and ends in darkness. For the comfort of your children, we advise against allowing children under 6 years old to board. We offer an alternative in this case: a video room where you can watch the flight simulation film.

Is the simulator a real airplane?

The aircraft used for this flight simulator was produced in 1943 and participated in the parachute drops of American troops over the Cotentin Peninsula on June 6, 1944. Reused by the British Royal Mail after the war, it was later displayed at an airfield before being purchased by Steven Spielberg, who used it for the filming of the mini-series Band of Brothers.

Are there any restrictions for accessing the flight simulator?

Access to the simulator is not recommended for people with heart conditions, pacemakers, claustrophobia, as well as pregnant women and children under 6 years old. The simulator is not equipped to accommodate wheelchairs. If you fall into one of these categories, we have considered you! A video room will allow you to watch the simulation film, after which you can continue your visit without any inconvenience. If needed, a wheelchair is available upon request at the reception.

How long does the flight simulator last?

The experience lasts approximately 20 minutes and is divided into two parts: first, a 10-minute briefing, where Lieutenant Colonel Robert L. Wolverton, in the form of a hologram, presents the mission to you. Then, you board the flight simulator, which lasts just under 10 minutes.

Is the flight simulator a thrill ride?

The flight simulator is not a thrill ride; it is comparable to the feeling of driving over speed bumps in a car.

Cinema

Your questions about the cinema

At what age can my child watch the cinema?

The 3D cinema lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour. It does not contain any shocking scenes but is quite loud. For the comfort of your children, we advise against allowing them to participate in this activity if they are under 6 years old.

How long does the 3D cinema session last?

During the summer season, from April 1st to September 30th, sessions last 45 minutes. During the winter season, from October 1st to March 31st, sessions last 60 minutes.

IMPORTANT: To access both the simulator and the cinema, it is recommended to arrive 3 hours BEFORE the ticket office closes.

What films are shown?

During your cinema session, discover a documentary featuring the remastered version of D-Day Normandy 1944 by Pascal Vuong, as well as an exclusive short film, Taking and Holding Carentan, about the battle of Carentan. Relive the days that changed the world forever. The Normandy landings come to life before your eyes in 3D!

What are the screening times for the 3D cinema?

During the summer season, from April 1st to September 30th, screenings take place at fixed hours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last session). During the winter season, from October 1st to March 31st, screenings are at 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM (last session).

IMPORTANT: To access both the simulator and the cinema, it is recommended to arrive 3 hours BEFORE the ticket office closes.

In which language(s) is the film available?

The film is in French, but you can request a translation via headphones in English, Dutch, Spanish, and German.

Is the film accessible for the hearing impaired?

For hearing-impaired visitors, as well as those with hearing aids or cochlear implants, we provide two specialized headsets.
